The railway will appear between Tolmachevo airport and Novosibirsk

The authorities of the Novosibirsk region plan to organize a railway connection between the center of Novosibirsk and Tolmachevo airport, located 20 km from the city.

The governor of the region called the project absolutely real, for this it is necessary to solve the issue of building a second span of the railway bridge in order to organize reverse traffic. "This will be a step for the implementation of the project to extend the train to the airport. As far as I know, a fundamental decision on the implementation of this project has been made at Russian Railways," he said.

The governor also announced the date of the official launch of the first stage of the new terminal at Tolmachevo Airport. It will take place on the Day of Civil Aviation of Russia, February 9.
