The millionth passenger was recorded in August at the Omsk airport

Omsk airport recorded a record daily passenger traffic on August 15. On that day, it served 8087 passengers. The company summed up the results of work for August 2022.

In the last month of summer, the airport congratulated the millionth passenger. Previously, this indicator was reached in September, and in 2018 — in November. The year 2020 in this respect turned out to be insignificant due to the pandemic that hit the entire aviation industry.

In August of this year, the airport handled 921 flights, which is 1.5 times more than in the docked August of 2018, when 660 flights were serviced. Passenger traffic amounted to 200 thousand people, and this is also 1.5 times more than four years ago (140 thousand).

In four years, the number of airlines has also grown 1.5 times, and the number of destinations has increased from 23 to 38. The airport management explains this with the support of the regional government, which allocates subsidies for air transportation.
