Regional departures are delayed at Yakutsk airport due to weather conditions

The strong wind became an obstacle for the departure of domestic flights by the Yakutia Airline.

"Due to unfavorable weather conditions in a number of districts of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), airline flights are delayed in a number of directions (Yakutsk - Olenek, Yakutsk - Ust-Nera, Yakutsk - Polar). Heavy snowfall is observed in these areas, wind gusts reach speeds of up to 23 m/s," the airport's press service notes.

According to the weather forecast, heavy snowfall is observed in a number of central and northern regions of the republic, wind gusts are 9-14 m/s, in some places up to 15-20 m/s.
