Kaliningrad Airport will introduce an open sky mode

The "open sky" mode will be introduced at Kaliningrad Airport from October 1, 2022, which will be in effect for two years.

This mode allows foreign airlines to operate flights to/from Kaliningrad using the third, fourth, fifth and seventh freedom of airspace. This is reported by the press service of the Federal Air Transport Agency.

Recall that the third and fourth air freedoms allow foreign airlines to operate flights to Kaliningrad and back from their country, the fifth and seventh — flights from Kaliningrad to third countries both on the way to the airline's country, and directly, without stopping.
