Eco-activists blocked planes at Amsterdam airport

Last weekend, members of the organizations Greenpeace and Extinction Rebellion broke into the territory of Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam (Netherlands) and blocked planes on the runway. Eco-activists rode bicycles on the runway, chained themselves to airplanes.

As a result, more than 200 people were detained by the police. "All of them have committed a criminal offense," the authorities said and noted that the prosecutor's office will then decide on the fate of the detainees.
