Low-cost airline to appear in Egypt

The first low-cost airline in the history of Egypt plans to start flights next winter. The first international destinations of the new carrier may be flights to Russia.

Previously, the airline will be named Air Sphinx and will be a subsidiary of Egypt's national carrier EgyptAir. The low-cost airline plans to operate both domestic and international flights and adhere to a budget pricing policy.

Air Sphinx will be based at the new Cairo International Airport of the same name in Giza. Initially, the air fleet will be represented by two Boeing 737-800 airliners.
