Giant airport to be built in Saudi Arabia

The Saudi authorities are planning to build one of the largest airports in the world. It will be located in the capital of the country, Riyadh.

The new air hub will occupy an area of 57 thousand km and will have six runways. The airport will be able to serve up to 120 million passengers by 2030 and up to 185 million by 2050. All its electricity needs will be provided by renewable sources.
