A new low-cost airline has started flights in Uzbekistan

On April 25, 2023, a new low-cost airline Silk Avia (IATA - US code) performed its first flight in Uzbekistan. As noted at the opening ceremony of the flights, the carrier positions itself as the first regional low-cost carrier, the so-called air taxi connecting not only the capital of Uzbekistan Tashkent with the regions, but also the regions with each other.

At the beginning of the work, the Silk Avia air fleet consists of ATR 72 regional airliners.
